Las Vegas' first Asian-Themed Tavern Provides Something for Everyone
Little Macau combines Asian sophistication with Las Vegas flair

Las Vegas, NV - April 2007 Chinatown visitors and residents will soon experience a whole new aspect of the Orient. Opening this April, Little Macau, located in Chinatown one block from the Las Vegas Strip, combines sophisticated touches through its contemporary Asian design elements with a relaxed lounge atmosphere that will appeal to an array of patrons from Chinatown locals and casino industry workers to tourists and gaming enthusiasts.

The upscale bar/lounge/tavern captures both the traditional feel of long-ago Macau and the vibrancy of the contemporary Macau gaming boom. Wall displays of historic Macau landmarks and casinos, Macau video footage and Portuguese architectural influences surround patrons as they unwind with karaoke, video poker and slot machines while sampling authentic Asian dishes, an assortment of signature cocktails and imported Macau beer.

Little Macau will be open 24-hours per day and can seat up to 150 people.

Jeffrey Fine and Joe Valdes, owner and president respectively of Silver Nugget Gaming, chose a Macau theme for their newest tavern establishment to take advantage of the recent attention and excitement surrounding Macau's growing gaming market.

"We're definitely filling a much-needed niche in this area with Little Macau," said Fine. "What we've created is a comfortable hang-out with sophisticated style."

And, they have left no detail out. Working with Paul Steelman of Paul Steelman Design Group, which has offices in both Las Vegas and Macau, the team has even imported the famous patterned sidewalk stones along with several art pieces by Macanese and local artists.

Fine believes the key to the success of this unique establishment is the breadth of patrons it will appeal to. To casino employees, the primary target, Little Macau will offer a "Cheers-like" atmosphere - a place to gather and unwind after work. To Chinatown patrons Little Macau will provide authentic touches of Asia and for other visitors it will be a combination sports bar/lounge with a unique blend of the East and West. In any case, Little Macau will soon be the must see venue in and out of Chinatown.
